Funding from Bulgarian and foreign investors is needed for the implementation of a restructuring plan in the next three years. The plan is aimed at:
- operative restructuring, full capacity utilization, adaptation of existing equipment to new technology and product requirements;
- expansion of production and commercial activities by building new workshops within the existing production buildings, introduction of new product lines, production of new bread types, establishment of a commodity exchange for bread products;
- attracting new shareholders and partners to facilitate the expansion effort;
- lease of 500 decares of agricultural land to produce quality wheat in 2001 - 2003.
The local government supports the restructuring plan.

Chistota Ltd. is an independent, 100% municipally-owned company. The company was established on July 30, 1993, as a successor of a part of the Panonia municipal company.
The company deals in waste collection, waste transportation, public areas cleansing, waste disposal and winter cleansing within the city of Vidin. It also maintains a construction waste disposal site and manages the city's landfill.
The company is self-funding its operations, without any loans and/or grants.
The company employs 108, of which 91% staff and 9% administration and management.
Funding from Bulgarian and foreign investors is needed to purchase another specialized waste-collection truck and to repair a significant part of existing vehicles.

Promco Ltd. is the successor of the M. Ninov City Industrial Company. The company is an independent, 100% municipally-owned legal entity. The company has a long-lasting experience and traditions in the production of traffic and street signs, Euro-pallets, Bobar waste containers, roll containers, metal wardrobes, hangers, tables and shelves, fence panels, electric meter boards, etc. The company also produces weather-proof items with metal elements, with a 15-year warranty. The traffic and street signs are currently being tested for compliance at the labs of the Roads Agency and Highways Corp., Sofia.
Apart from the local companies, current and potential clients include both domestic and foreign companies, such as: Glavbolgarstroy, Sofia; Machinexport, Sofia; Pernik Mines and Bobov Dol Mines; Kozloduy Nuclear Power Station; Alpinter, Belgium and many others.

(1993) and BKS Budinstroy Ltd. (1999). The company is dealing in: road construction, reconstruction and maintenance; building construction, reconstruction and maintenance; production of construction materials, inert materials, concrete and asphalt; design and engineering services; transport services with specialized vehicles.
At present, 80% of the company are owned by the management and the workers, and the remaining 20% are held by the Municipality.
Over the last 40 years, the company has built hundreds of high-rise buildings within the Vidin Region. Employees are experienced in all types of construction works.

- other afforestation activities not prohibited by law.
The company is committed to fully satisfy its clients' needs, to retain its current clients and to attract new ones. Between May and September, the Municipality of Vidin is the main client. However, the funds under the contract with the Municipality are insufficient to finance the company's operations. The company is looking for other jobs, such as the project won under the Beautiful Bulgaria II Program, corporate clients, budget-funded organizations, schools, SMEs etc.

During this year, the Municipality will be trying to privatize the companies that have reported negative financial results for the last year, as well as companies that have adequate resources but have reported minimal profit.
Municipal management and the Committee on Privatization believe that Svezhest, Ratsiaria, Budin Pharma 96 and Hlebozavod should be sold. Chistota and Ozelenyavane should preserve their current status. Thus, the Municipality will spin-off non-core activities and will focus on mainly social functions
